Set in the Worcestershire countryside in the village of Crowle, just 3 miles from Worcester city centre, The Old Chequers Inn combines a traditional atmosphere with a contemporary twist. Whether you are visiting to eat or just to enjoy a couple of drinks with friends at the bar, or on the sofas by an open fire, you will be assured of a warm welcome and attentive staff.

 

The Matthews family, your hosts, and Becky Atkinson, our chef, continually strive to produce both tempting and interesting menus made as much as possible from fresh locally sourced produce. Mark has carefully chosen a wine list to both compliment the menus and to cater for all occasions. He prides himself on his cask ale and coffee offering. Oak beams and open fires combine with comfortable chairs and spacious tables to provide an ambience that you will wish to return to again and again.

 

In the summer you can relax outside in the garden and enjoy the pastoral views. The Old Chequers Inn is open all day. Coffee and pastries are served from 10.00 am. On Saturdays brunch is also available from 10.00 am. Once a month on a Sunday Mark holds a jazz evening when musicians from all over the Midlands showcase their talent.

 

You can rest assured that there is a safe, well lit, ample, off road car park.

 

The Old Chequers Inn is in easy reach of the motorway network. It is only 2 miles from junction 6 on the M5. It is close to the Vale of Evesham, the Cotswolds, the Malvern Hills, Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon and the ancient city of Worcester.
